Wood Finishing

About

This course covers proper sanding, applying oil, shellac, wax and varnish finishes, and hand-rubbing processes for high quality finishes. Wood colouring methods will include bleaching, wood dyes, chemical stains and making your own pigment stains. Students prepare sample sets of the various finishes and processes. Materials will be supplied by the instructor at a cost of approximately $45 per student. Registrations will not be accepted after the first class. Registration required. Category: Fine Arts.
